CASNOS yearly income return: contribution base and payment
Every year, a CASNOS member declares their contribution base, meaning the income from their activity backed by tax or accounting documents, no later than 1 March. They then pay their contribution no later than 30 June. The contribution is 15% of the base, which can be neither lower than the yearly minimum wage (288,000 DA) nor higher than 20 times that amount (5,760,000 DA): so it ranges from 43,200 DA to 864,000 DA a year.

What this form is for
The yearly return sets the amount of your contribution for the year. You tell CASNOS your contribution base, meaning the income from your activity, and back it with your tax or accounting documents. The fund then applies the 15% rate.
If you do not file, you no longer choose your base: the fund can set one for you, based on the previous year's base with an increase. Filing on time means you contribute on your real income, within the limits set by the decree.
The calculation in three steps
- Take the business income shown in your tax or accounting documents.
- If it is below 288,000 DA, the base is raised to 288,000 DA. If it exceeds 5,760,000 DA, it is capped at 5,760,000 DA.
- Multiply the base by 15%: that is your yearly contribution.
| Documented income | Base used | Contribution (15%) |
|---|---|---|
| 0 DA (no income) | 288,000 DA | 43,200 DA |
| 150,000 DA | 288,000 DA | 43,200 DA |
| 600,000 DA | 600,000 DA | 90,000 DA |
| 1,500,000 DA | 1,500,000 DA | 225,000 DA |
| 8,000,000 DA | 5,760,000 DA | 864,000 DA |
How much will you pay to CASNOS?
For a manager, a trader or a liberal profession, and for auto-entrepreneurs.
The income subject to contributions. Leave empty or at 0 in year one if you have no income yet.
The base cannot be lower than the annual SNMG (288,000 DA), nor higher than 20 times the annual SNMG (5,760,000 DA).
Annual contribution43,200 DA
That is, per month3,600 DA
15% rate; base between the annual SNMG and 20 times that amount (Executive Decree 15-289 as amended by Decree 26-257, Official Journal no. 53 of 23 July 2026). SNMG: 24,000 DA a month. Indicative estimate, to be confirmed against your actual file.
Who must file it
Every person registered with CASNOS files their own return, every year, whether or not they earned money. This includes:
- traders operating as individuals;
- majority managers of a SARL and sole partners managing an EURL;
- partners in an SNC;
- craftspeople and farmers;
- liberal professions.
A year with no income must still be declared: you then contribute on the minimum base, i.e. 43,200 DA at the current minimum wage.

Deadlines
Two dates come back every year:
| Step | Deadline | Text |
|---|---|---|
| Declaring the base, with supporting documents | No later than 1 March | Decree 15-289 as amended by decree 22-121 |

Farmers have a later payment deadline: check with your office.
Common mistakes
- Declaring income below the yearly minimum wage to pay less: the base is raised to the 288,000 DA minimum anyway.
- Missing 1 March: the fund can then set your base itself, based on the previous year's base with an increase.
- Filing with no supporting documents: the base must be backed by tax or accounting documents.
- Believing a year with no activity means no return and no payment.
- Calculating with the old 32,400 DA minimum or an outdated minimum wage.
- Forgetting that each registered manager or partner files their own return and pays their own contribution.
- Requesting a payment plan while a previous year is still unpaid: you must be up to date first.
Frequently asked questions
I had no income: do I still have to file?
Yes. The return is yearly, with or without income. You then contribute on the minimum base, the yearly minimum wage of 288,000 DA, i.e. 43,200 DA.
What income should a SARL manager declare?
The income you draw from your activity, as shown in the tax or accounting documents you attach. If you are unsure what to include, ask your office before 1 March with your documents in hand.
What happens if I file late?
After 1 March, the fund can set your base itself, based on the previous year's base with an increase. And paying after 30 June leads to late-payment surcharges.
Can I spread the payment of my contribution?
Yes, on conditions: you must be up to date with previous years' contributions and be facing financial difficulties. The fund can then grant a payment plan for the current year.
Will the 43,200 DA minimum change?
It follows the minimum wage. The minimum is 15% of the yearly SNMG: if the SNMG is raised, the minimum rises in the same proportion.
How do I prove I am up to date?
With the CASNOS up-to-date certificate (attestation de mise à jour), which you request on Damancom or at the office once the contribution is paid.
Can Neuron prepare my return?
No. Neuron only fills in business setup forms and does not do bookkeeping or routine returns: this guide is free and all you need to do it yourself.
