What the domiciliation contract is for

Every company must have a registered office. Its address appears in the articles of association, and the CNRC (National Trade Register Centre) asks, for registration, for a document proving the right to occupy the premises: title deed, lease or domiciliation contract. If you have no premises, the notarised domiciliation contract fills that role. It must therefore be ready before the articles are signed at the notary's office, since they state the office address.

What to state in the letter

  • Your identity and role: manager, future manager, sole partner, or partner acting for the others.
  • The company name: the one on the name certificate if the company is being formed, the one on the trade register extract if it already exists.
  • The type of request: new company, change of registered office (with the current address) or renewal.
  • The company's main activity.
  • The term you choose, 1 year or 2 years, and the start date you want.
